Mindaribba Warriors

In October 2008, HEZ sponsored the Mindaribba Warriors Aboriginal Rugby League Club in the Annual Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout in Kingscliff.

2008 was the second year HEZ lent its support to the local team, providing crucial funding to allow the Mindaribba Warriors to purchase equipment, uniforms, transportation to and from the event, and fund coaching.

The Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout Comp was an important opportunity for Mindaribba Warriors players, with NRL talent scouts in attendance. The competition will continue in 2009 in Armidale.

The team provided the Rugby League players from Mindaribba with an opportunity to show their skills on the rugby field, as well as providing mentors and role models to younger members of the community.
