Jacarna Fenton's athletics tour

In July 2008, HEZ sponsored local athletics competitor and Abermain resident, Jacarna Fenton, to attend an international athletics tour of Canada for promising young talents. Jacarna was chosen from a select group of young Australians as a result of her strong competition results.

Jacarna performed outstandingly on the tour, bringing home four gold medals - one each in the 100m and 400m and two in the 200m event and two silver medals in the 100m and 800m events, as well as competing in the second placed relay team.

HEZ was pleased to contribute to Jacarna's trip to Canada as she works towards her ultimate goal of representing Australia as a world-class runner.
